Objectives: Sportello avanzato Just Peace is a desk within University of Siena inspired by the principles of the Manifesto for Inclusive Universities and Universities for Peace, supports students and researchers seeking international protection or coming from crisis-affected areas.One of its most recent projects is UNICORE, created to offer refugee students in African countries the opportunity to continue their academic journey at Italian universities.
Activities:
- Management of initial reception activities
- Assessement of needs
- Verifiction of the requirements for access to education/training
- Provision of assistance with enrollment and throughout the study period
- Allocation of scholarships following a selection process
- Support of students in the process of obtaining a residence permit and applying for international protection
